A large, mythical creature with long fur stands in a misty forest. Pine trees and a flowing river create a peaceful, mysterious setting.

That is probably the first thing you asked yourself when you read the title of my book. Miccilians, pronounced, Mis-sil-i-an, are a large, hairy, bipedal species from a place called Micciliak (Mis-sil-i-ak). They average from 7' to 10' tall and are extremely strong. They are a peaceful race but can be aggressive when provoked. Very intelligent with special abilities, (some say powers), they can speak many languages. From birth, the males are trained to be warriors, but the clan that lives in the Dire Mountains, are trained, not only to be warriors, but guardians. Guardians of the Pathway. With the aid of their Age Stone, they age much slower than humans. One year to every five human years.

People around these parts, and probably you too, believe them to be Sasquatch. Yep, the legendary Bigfoot. Well, I'm here to tell you, they are much, much more.

Where exactly is Micciliak? That question will be revealed in Path of the Miccilian: Book 2. I suspect readers will be surprised to find out, just how close Micciliak is to Earth.
